LIFE EXPERIENCE
  • I understand, from a caretaker's perspective, the emotional and physical hardship of battling cancer, as well as the changes that occur as a result in family and social relationships.

  • Dementia is a devastating disease.  I know, from personal experience, it feels overwhelmingly helpless to watch a loved one deteriorate.  Family members struggle to be caretakers while desperately trying to preserve their relationships.

  • Grief is the journey we all at some point travel.  Having now experienced the death of both my parents I can relate to the rollercoaster of emotions that come with grieving.  It's a unique road for each of us, however, the path to healing is the same - talking about it.

  • I am a wife and a mom.  These roles come with lessons in perseverance, humor, listening, communication, problem solving, empathy, compassion, limit setting, LOVE, patience....these skills and more are vital if we hope to make meaningful and lasting relationships with anyone.  Connecting with our kids and spouse is done one day, situation, event at a time.
